In 2010 Phil Martin entered the CRMC Superbike class of classic racing on a P&M 1260 and had many podiums and finally a class win at his local circuit of Snetterton. After this success Portico Sport was asked if it could enter a bike and rider for the Philip Island Classic in Melbourne Australia. A race for the British team against the KIWI's and the ultra competitive Australians.
